Beschreibung

A handmade 925 sterling silver Viking signet ring with the Helm of Awe on a large round face and a sculpted beast head on each shoulder. The beast heads are modelled in the round rather than engraved, which gives the ring a heavier profile than our flat signets. It weighs about 13 to 14 g.

FRAGEN

Häufige Fragen

What is the Helm of Awe?
The Helm of Awe, Aegishjalmur, is an eight armed protective stave. As drawn today it comes from Icelandic grimoires of the 1600s and 1800s rather than Viking Age archaeology, although the name appears earlier in Old Norse poetry.
What are the heads on the sides?
A sculpted beast head sits on each shoulder of the band, modelled in the round. Beast heads of this kind are a recurring feature of Viking Age ornament.
What is it made of and how heavy?
925 sterling silver, approximately 13 to 14 g depending on ring size.
What sizes are available?
US 5 to 15, or a custom size on request, handmade to order in 3 to 7 business days.
