A handmade 925 sterling silver Viking ring shaped as an axe head, with the Helm of Awe stave worked into the blade. The axe form rises well clear of the band, which makes this one of the boldest silhouettes in the range. It weighs 11 g.

The axe was the most common weapon of the Viking Age, cheaper to make than a sword and useful as a tool. The Helm of Awe on the blade is later Icelandic stave material rather than a Viking Age motif. See our Helm of Awe collection.
