The Canute is a handmade Viking wooden watch in natural bamboo, its 35 mm dial carrying the Helm of Awe inside a full circle of runes behind 1.5 mm mineral glass, with a Japanese Miyota movement. The Helm of Awe as drawn is later Icelandic manuscript material, not a Viking-Age find, and the back cover can be engraved.

Description

The Canute is a handmade Viking wooden watch built around the Helm of Awe, the Aegishjalmur, a stave from post-medieval Icelandic grimoires (17th to 19th century) linked to protection and courage. Its dial is ringed with a full circle of Norse runes, and the back cover can be engraved with your own name, date or Norse saying. A precise Japanese Miyota movement sits inside a natural bamboo case, so no two pieces are exactly alike.
