The Vegvisir appears in 19th-century Icelandic manuscripts and charm books, not in Viking-Age archaeology, so it belongs to a later Icelandic magical tradition rather than to the Viking Age itself. VikingsBrand would rather say that plainly than sell it as something it is not.
