The oath ring
The Norse swore on rings, not with them
There was no Viking wedding ring. A marriage was a contract between families, and the ring that carried weight was the one people swore on: the oath ring kept at the temple, and the arm rings that bound a follower to a lord.
We build on that idea rather than inventing a ceremony the sources do not describe. The ornament is real, the metals are real, and the object is modern. That is a better claim than the one most of this trade makes.

Sizing
Get the size right the first time
Ring size is the single largest cause of returns on rings, and it is entirely avoidable. These are made to order in a fixed size, so it is worth five minutes now.
Measure a ring that fits
Wrap a strip of paper around the inside of a ring you already wear, mark it, and measure that length in millimetres.
Most accurateMeasure the finger
Go around the widest part of the knuckle, at the end of the day when fingers are largest. The ring has to clear it.
Do it twiceAllow for width
A wide band fits tighter than a narrow one in the same size. At 8 mm or more, go up about half a size.
