QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Is the Vegvisir a real Viking symbol?
Not as it is drawn today. The familiar eight armed Vegvisir comes from Icelandic manuscripts, most famously the Huld manuscript of 1860, roughly 800 years after the Viking Age. We sell it as later Icelandic stave material, not a Viking Age find.
What is the green stone?
A single green stone is set into the design. Our supplier states the metal as 925 sterling silver and does not state the stone type, so we do not claim it as a natural gem.
What does the raven mean?
Odin keeps two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, Thought and Memory, who fly over the world each day and report back to him. Ravens are among the most common animals in Norse art.
What sizes can I order?
US 6 to 15, made individually in the size you order. It is handmade to order in 3 to 15 days.
