Is this a Viking helmet?
No. It is a Corinthian helmet from ancient Greece, with the long nose guard and narrow eye slits of a hoplite's helm. Viking Age helmets were rounded iron caps and looked nothing like it.
Why does it have Norse ornament on the sides?
That is the workshop's own mix: a Greek helmet shape with the knotwork they use across the rest of the range. We describe both parts rather than presenting the whole thing as Norse.
