What is the Helm of Awe?
The Helm of Awe, Aegishjalmur, is an eight armed protective stave. As drawn today it comes from Icelandic grimoires of the 1600s and 1800s rather than Viking Age archaeology, although the name appears earlier in Old Norse poetry.
How is it different from your other Helm of Awe rings?
This one puts the stave on an oval signet face with oak leaves down the shoulders. We also list it in Urnes style with openwork shoulders and in a Mammen style gold version.
