QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
What is the Ulfberht sword pendant made of?
It is made of 925 sterling silver and is described as a handmade item, so small differences between pieces are expected.
How much does the Ulfberht sword pendant weigh?
About 4 g (0.14 oz), a light and slim pendant.
What is an Ulfberht sword?
Ulfberht is one of the few genuinely documented names to survive from Viking-Age weaponry. Around a hundred and seventy sword blades of the ninth to eleventh centuries carry an inlaid iron inscription reading +VLFBERH+T, and they were made in Frankish workshops in the Rhineland and traded widely into Scandinavia. Ulfberht was almost certainly a workshop or maker's name rather than a single smith, and the name was valuable enough that later blades copied it, sometimes with the crosses in the wrong place or the letters misspelled. Some of the blades are made from unusually clean, high-carbon steel for their date, which is why they still attract research.
How is it shipped, and can I return it?
Orders ship tracked worldwide, and worldwide shipping is free on orders over $129. Returns are accepted within 30 days if the pendant is unused and in its original packaging.
