Description
This bronze Vegvisir ring pairs the Icelandic "Viking compass" stave with a band of oak leaves and acorns. The Vegvisir is a guidance stave first recorded in 19th-century Icelandic manuscripts such as the Huld manuscript, so it reads as a later Icelandic symbol of finding one's way rather than an authentic Viking-Age design. The oak leaves and acorns are a decorative nature motif, with oak long associated with strength and endurance. Each ring is handmade and cast in bronze at about 16g (0.56oz).
